RPM Welcomes Larry Matthys to the San Antonio Office

Larry received his bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Texas in 1983, and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Houston in 1986. He then began his career in insurance defense litigation in the San Antonio office of Thornton, Summers, Biechlin, Dunham and Brown. He moved to Corpus Christi as a partner with that firm in 1993, then formed a different defense firm there in 2000. He moved back to San Antonio in 2005 and opened a solo practice doing insurance defense work. He has tried over 100 cases including workers compensation ,auto cases, premises liability cases, dog bites and stock law cases. He may be one of only two lawyers in Texas history to ever try a cat attack case.

After ushering three children through college and into successful careers, he enjoys spending time at the lake and playing golf.
